At this stage, you must:
-
Know that at this stage of the design collaboration between the architect and the engineers is important to build a successful project.
-
Focus on the details with approximate quantities, size, and shape of construction materials, spaces, building systems, and mechanical systems.
-
Design the details of building elements, such as the details of the façade and envelope, the layout of interior spaces and lighting.
-
Re-analyse the model using energy analysis tool, more detailed model will enrich more the whole building energy analysis.
-
Create conceptual renderings with the basic design concepts to tell the story of the project.
-
Work out the passive design details, adjusting each space to take advantage of solar energy and natural ventilation.
-
Calculate the thermal and visual comfort; which will help you will also to get a better understanding of the active systems you will need to supplement the passive systems, which can be done with tools like lighting simulation and CFD (Computational fluid dynamics).
-
Analysis the used building systems to decide a final building form, equipment, and overall constructions.
-
The final design must be chosen.
